On Sept. 3, as part of the 2011 Philly Fringe Festival, the Miss Rockaway Armada sculpture-installation troupe (with support from Spiral Q Puppet Theater) led a bicycle art parade from from Center City to University City's Clark Park. Afterward, the visiting troupe presented their adventurous sculpture-art in the park.
The Miss Rockaway Armada's arrived in Philly earlier this summer to work on a new installation, "Let Me Tell You About a Dream I Had," sponsored by the Philadelphia Art Alliance. Another parade will be held in Kensington, followed by an exhibit opening at the PAA at the end of September.
